Heat storage is cost-effective and relevant

This is the conclusion of research firm Berenschot commissioned by Invest-NL. Heat storage results in an important social return: adding buffers reduces the use of gas-fired peak boilers and makes heat networks more flexible and future-proof. Yet companies developing heat storage technologies are still struggling to get a foothold in heat projects. Cold feet among heat project initiators is a major barrier.
