ESNL speaks to delegate Maarten van Gaans-Gijbels

Today Energy Storage NL chairman Maarten van den Heuvel and industry manager Jeroen Neefs visited Maarten van Gaans-Gijbels, deputy for Climate and Energy in the Province of Limburg.

Together with the representative, we discussed grid congestion problems in the province and the role that energy storage can play in overcoming these problems. We specifically discussed the main bottlenecks for the placement of large-scale batteries in the short term and the role of heat and molecule storage in the long term. Together with the province, Energy Storage NL will explore opportunities for further cooperation to stimulate the development of these storage systems in Limburg in the short and longer term.
