"Battery technology" innovation mission to Germany

Battery developments, both in technology and production, are moving fast in Europe. Germany plays a crucial role in this, both in R&D and in scaling up va battery production. This innovation mission focuses on the federal states of North Rhine-Westphalia and Baden-Württemberg. In these regions, many parties are active in this sector, both in research and in the application of that research.

Target

This innovation mission focuses on new battery technologies and aims to bring together players from the German and Dutch ecosystem on

  1. battery sustainability, including material efficiency and recycling,
  2. Digitization of battery production process,
  3. innovative testing and certification methods,
  4. development and production of next-generation battery cells, and
  5. Battery Management Systems.

These can be both stationary and mobile applications.

Who can participate?

The mission is particularly aimed at R&D managers, business development managers, CTOs and CEOs of interested companies (SMEs and large companies) and knowledge institutions, in short, people involved in the R&D process and innovation. This mission is of interest to:

  • Dutch companies (SMEs, start-ups/scale-ups and corporates) active in battery technology;
  • Knowledge institutions working on - or involved in - the development and application of new battery technologies.

Draft program

Various companies and knowledge institutions will be visited during the three-day mission. The program begins in Baden-Württemberg and ends in North Rhine-Westphalia. In addition to visits to companies and knowledge institutions, the program also includes a number of matchmaking moments with German parties.

The program includes visits to the ZSW-BW and Helmholtz Institute in Ulm, parties in Karlsruhe and RWTH Aachen. The program is under development. For more information on the program: Dutch innovation mission battery technology to Germany - Programme (b2match.io)

Registration

If you would like to participate in just the innovation mission please register before September 1. The cost for participation in the innovation mission is € 250 excluding VAT per person. This includes: participation in the collective program, transfers to and from program parts, lunch and dinners if this is mentioned in the program. Participation does not include: travel and accommodation expenses and all individual costs.
