Call: support Ukraine with energy storage

Because of the war in Ukraine, the country's energy supply is under great pressure. With winter approaching, large areas, including besieged cities, are unsure of electricity. As a result, emergency solutions are increasingly being cited to combat the problems while critical infrastructure is being repaired.

Energy storage is seen as an important link to counteract grid problems. Therefore, the Ukrainian government and the national energy storage industry association have turned to EASE with a request for help from European countries and companies.

Specifically, delivery of the following systems is requested:

  1. What: ESS with a capacity of 5-10 kW, with a time reserve of up to 24 hours. Use: It is necessary for the operation of communication centers and hospitals. Where: Kiev, Zaporozhye, Nikolaev and Kharkov municipalities.
  2. What: ESS - 1 MW (100 kW) with 24 hours reserve. Use: For water supply and sewerage. Where: Kiev municipality.
  3. What: ESS 1.2 kilowatts, with operation up to 2-3 hours. Use: to ensure the operation of police stations.

The Dutch energy storage sector has unique knowledge that can help keep the lights on in Ukraine. We therefore call on our participants to help where possible.

Can you provide any of the systems requested above? Please mail to info@energystoragenl.nl and we'll link you to our contacts at EASE.

The attached document contains information on current issues. In addition to the question above, do you think you can provide concrete products, services or knowledge relevant to the Ukrainian energy system? Then also get in touch and we will explore the possibilities.
