Skoon and Riwal partner to deliver clean mobile energy on site
Riwal Hoogwerkers, rental and sales specialist of aerial work platforms and telehandlers, and Skoon, the online marketplace for clean and mobile energy have partnered to provide clean mobile energy on site.
On a construction site, there is often insufficient (power) power available to charge and optimally deploy all electric machines. The enormous growth in sustainable electric equipment makes this challenge even greater. For Riwal and Skoon the perfect basis for collaboration.
Electric machines present a number of challenges. The construction sites where AWPs are used are often far away from the necessary network connections, making it impossible to recharge the built-in batteries. In addition, it is also often the case that AWPs are the first machines on a construction project, so no further infrastructure is available. For projects where the infrastructure is available, charging many machines simultaneously causes an overload for the power grid.
Skoon offers the solution by providing a customized mobile energy solution on site. These include battery trailers (up to as much as 150 kWh/ 90 kVA for trailer sized systems), optionally with built-in solar panels and backup generators. All batteries supplied are charged with green electricity where possible and therefore have virtually no CO2 and nitrogen emissions.
In addition to these sustainable benefits, these renewably powered energy systems ensure that diesel machines are needed less and less. With current geopolitical changes, diesel is rapidly becoming more expensive, this ensures that electric machines are not only more sustainable and healthier but often cheaper.

(Founder/CEO Skoon Energy B.V.)
"With this collaboration, we are improving the availability of clean mobile energy on a large scale. By making it easier for end users to choose clean energy systems based on data, it becomes more and more accessible to more people. Thanks to Riwal's size, Skoon's software tools and the integration of our software platforms, we are reaching faster the moment when clean energy is always available. This is how we are working together to build data-driven connections between Riwal's thousands of machines and the hundreds of clean energy systems on Skoon's online platform."
