Netherlands' largest battery energy storage system commissioned
- A 30-megawatt battery system with an energy storage capacity of 68 megawatt hours;
- Located in the energy hub of Flushing East;
- The energy storage system will accelerate the stable integration of renewable energy into the Dutch electricity market;
- This large-scale energy storage system was delivered by energy specialist Alfen as a complete turn-key solution, including civil works, electrical integration and automation, to ensure the highest performance and reliability.
SemperPower is pleased to announce another important milestone. Last month, the commissioning of Castor announced by SemperPower. In addition, following the successful installation by energy specialist Alfen, SemperPower now also has control of their third large-scale energy storage project, Pollux. The operational phase of this project was made possible through the joint efforts of suppliers, capacity buyers and financiers. SemperPower believes that only together can we accelerate the energy transition. Achieving this goal requires energy storage systems. That is why the SemperPower team is developing its concrete pipeline of 1.4 GW, including the realization of our first high-voltage connected project.
