Presentation of international solar and energy storage guide 2024
On Oct. 16, the 1e print of the International Solar Guide 2024 presented to Jeroen Neefs, director of Energy Storage NL. This took place in the Brabanthallen Den Bosch during the Energy Trade Fair. During this 3-day event, the sustainable energy sector meets for knowledge and inspiration.
Solar Energy Guide 2024: 'Solar and storage synergies for a sustainable future - Dutch PV and energy storage technology'
The English-language guide was presented by Kenneth Colijn, solar energy advisor at the Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland (RVO). This took place at the 2e day of the Energy Trade Fair during Energy Storage NL's "Energy Storage Day" conference.
The guide includes the latest solar energy developments in the Netherlands and more than 70 company profiles. The guide is distributed to the central government's international network, consisting of Dutch embassies and trade offices (NBSOs) abroad. Staff use the guide to bring the Dutch solar energy sector to the attention of potential foreign business partners.
The guide shows foreign countries what experiences and solutions the Netherlands can offer when it comes to solar energy. This is how we put the innovative power of the Dutch sector in the spotlight.
Also focus on energy storage
New this year is that in addition to solar energy, the guide also pays attention to its storage. Jeroen Neefs: "In solar parks, combining solar energy and storage is the new standard. In this way, the share of sustainable energy in the Netherlands can grow even further, and we will eventually become less dependent on gas and coal-fired power plants. With this guide we show the potential of this, and which companies in the Netherlands offer this combination."
The volume is the result of a public-private partnership within the trade promotion program International Clean Energy Partnership (ICEP). from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It was compiled by RVO and partners Energy Storage NL, TKI Urban Energy and Holland Solar.
