Review of The Energy Storage Event 2024

On December 12, The Energy Storage Event 2024 was held at the Kleefse Waard Industrial Park. The event brought together professionals from the energy sector to explore the latest developments, innovations and strategies in energy storage. Energy storage plays a crucial role in the energy transition and this day highlighted the importance of collaboration, knowledge sharing and forward thinking to meet the challenges of the future.

A day full of knowledge sharing and innovation

The day started with a great kick-off with Werner Schouten and Jeroen Neefs, followed by a talk show by Boudewijn den Herder (Essent), Hans-Peter Oskam (Netbeheer Nederland) and Gwen Jansen (Milieu Centraal), and keynotes by Nel Aland (Ministry of Climate and Green Growth) and Douwe van Leverink (Energie Beheer Nederland). A special thanks to the fantastic speakers who shared their expertise, insights and vision with us.

In addition to the plenary sessions, the event provided space for interactive panels, in-depth workshops and networking opportunities. Topics included battery storage, hydrogen innovations and heat pump storage. The insights shared made it clear that technological advances must go hand in hand with policy and community engagement.
