Dispatch Grid Services raises millions at Zonhub event

On Feb. 6, Zonhub Connect took place in Amsterdam . The reason for the event was the funding for a large-scale battery energy storage by Zonhub for Dispatch that launched on Feb. 10 for a maximum target amount of nearly 5 million euros. In a record time of 31 hours, the minimum target amount of 3.5 million euros had already been reached. Robert Kleiburg, ESNL board member, spoke on behalf of the industry about the social relevance of energy storage.

In addition to Robert, co-founder of Zonhub, Sven Pluut spoke about Zonhub's plans for 2025 and the role of various renewable energy technologies such as solar, wind and storage in the energy transition. Zonhub has now connected more than 300 professional project partners (project owners, financiers, installers and energy suppliers) with more than 12,000 private investors for the energy transition. In addition to the partnership with Dispatch, Zonhub has more projects coming up in the field of large-scale battery energy storage. Partly for this reason, Zonhub felt it was important to also become a member of the industry association Energy Storage NL.

CEO and Co-founder of Dispatch, Eiso Vaandrager spoke about the latest developments in large-scale battery energy storage. Dispatch, founded in 2021, is a Dutch company focused on the development, construction and management of large-scale battery energy storage systems. These systems are connected directly to central substations of grid operators. In doing so, Dispatch contributes to balancing supply and demand on the power grid to improve the stability of the power grid.
