Inspirational meeting Brabetech

We are pleased to invite ESNL members to an inspiring meeting on the future of industrial heat storage and transfer with molten salt. Brabetech has developed innovative technology to efficiently transfer and store high temperature heat. Its mission is to accelerate the industrial heat transition, as this sector is responsible for 20% of our energy consumption and is still largely dependent on fossil fuels.

During this session, you will be taken through the operation of the recently developed ThermalPod thermal batteries, which are specifically designed for industrial applications in the paper, chemical and food industries, among others. These systems enable the optimal use of renewable energy by storing heat during periods of surplus low-cost renewable electricity. In addition, they provide a solution to grid congestion through flexible power purchase.

In addition to an in-depth presentation on this technology, you will have the opportunity to take a look at the R&D setup. Also, Technoforum, the campus organization where the lab is located, will share interesting insights about innovations within the industry.
