As a network company, Alliander is responsible for the distribution of energy, such as electricity, (bio)gas and heat. We do not produce or trade energy ourselves. That is done by energy suppliers, buyers or traders. Most of the energy we distribute regionally comes from power plants and wind farms via the international and national energy networks of TenneT and Gasunie. In addition, more and more consumers and companies are supplying energy produced by themselves back to our energy grids.

A good state of our energy networks

Our main job is to distribute gas and electricity to consumers, businesses and institutions. Network operator Liander manages energy distribution across all our grids on a daily basis. Liander supplies over 2.3 million consumers and businesses with gas and electricity as efficiently as possible.

Future-proof and open energy grid

We are committed to a reliable energy supply to make living, working and traveling possible in the future. Qirion focuses on the development of sustainable technologies and intelligent energy infrastructures. Firan Develops open networks for heat, cold, steam and CO2. Metering company Kenter provides innovative solutions for energy measurement and energy management. In addition, we have activities in the field of new energy markets to contribute to the development of the future energy system.

Alliander is working on the energy of today and tomorrow.
