Sustainability with smart energy storage
We believe in a world where everyone has access to 100% sustainable and affordable energy. To achieve the transition of our entire energy system necessary for this, we need more sustainably generated energy. In addition, we need a lot of space and flexibility in our energy system. Laying more cables costs time and money. If we don't take action now, the next generations will have to pay those costs. Which will make energy unaffordable for them. As technology company, we help other companies, organizations and property owners invest to accelerate the energy transition. So that we don't shift the cost to the generations to come after us.
We see smart energy storage in secure lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery systems - from 15 kilowatt-hours to several megawatt-hours - as an important source of flexibility that can be used to match supply and demand of (renewable) energy.
The basis of the smart battery systems we provide is our developed control software with a proprietary algorithm. That software can be set for multiple purposes. We can calculate the optimal method of control for each company. This increases the use of self-generated solar or wind power on the one hand and helps relieve our power grid on the other. As a company, we can store solar power at peak times when all the panels on our roofs are simultaneously generating solar power, to supply it to the grid only when everyone comes home from work in the evening and together we need a lot of power for a few hours, or to use this power ourselves the next morning. Or by storing solar power so that you don't need to extend your grid connection if you want to install (more) solar panels or buy new machines that need a lot of power at peak times.
With a custom control model that matches the size of the power connection, power consumption and any self-generation, we can remotely and automatically ensure that each battery is charged and discharged at exactly the right times. The right moment depends on the intended purpose of the battery system. Corporate sustainability, the highest possible financial return, or a combination thereof.
