With our feet in the clay of the Northeast Polder, Theo Groen sr. and Theo Groen jr. took the step in 2015 to set up a solar farm in Luttelgeest (Northeast Polder). The combination of technical knowledge, financial insight and an eye for detail proved to be a great asset during the process. By taking a detailed look at figures, materials, cable thicknesses and conversions and aligning everything properly, we were able to generate our first solar energy in 2019 and be able to feed it back. Now that the park is up and running, we monitor daily the expected revenues and costs. To avoid receiving negative compensation for supplying energy, we temporarily store the energy from our solar park. In doing so, we increase the efficiency of our solar farm and shorten the payback period.
From own solar farm to solar energy consultancy
Because of the knowledge gained with our solar farm and the already existing know how in the areas of insurance, technology and finance, we have been regularly approached for advice. Theo Groen jr. then founded Groen Energy. In addition to providing advice on realizing a solar meadow, we can provide various other services, for example in the role of developer, contractor and mediator in business energy customers. We can also take full or partial ownership of a solar field, for example as co-participant, tenant or owner. With 'Operations & Maintenance' we unburden you by taking care of the daily affairs after the realization of your solar field. Finally, we can play a role in the Insurance of your solar farm and in case of camera surveillance.
