Statkraft has its roots in Norway and is 100% owned by the Norwegian state. We are convinced that renewable energy is the future. And for over 125 years have been working towards a cleaner world in which all energy is generated from renewable sources, such as solar, wind and water.
Statkraft is also working for a sustainable future in the Netherlands. For more than 25 years we have been developing, building and managing solar installations and wind farms. With an experienced and motivated Dutch team, we create opportunities and support renewable energy initiatives. We also coordinate emissions trading and renewable energy certificates from the Netherlands.
In the Netherlands we have two offices, in Amsterdam and in Den Bosch.
In addition to our activities in the Netherlands, we operate in 21 other countries. In Europe, Statkraft is the largest producer of renewable energy. Worldwide, we have over 5,300 employees and projects on hydro, wind, solar, gas-fired energy and supply district heating.
