This privacy statement explains what personal data Energy Storage NL (ESNL) collects and uses and what ESNL does with this personal data. In brief:

This privacy statement only reflects the policies of ESNL and does not pertain to sites linked on the ESNL site.
Who is the processing controller?
Energy Storage NL ("ESNL") is the trade association of the Dutch energy storage sector. Together with technology companies, knowledge institutions, grid operators and financiers, we work towards a stable, independent and sustainable energy supply. ESNL is based in Apeldoorn and is the data controller for the processing of personal data.
Personal data we process
ESNL processes personal data about you because your company is a participant of ESNL, you use our services, because you provide data to us yourself, or because you are a stakeholder of ours.
Personal data we process are:
- First and last name;
- Gender;
- E-mail address;
- Function;
- Company;
- Photo;
- Signature (if requested to sign a document);
- Other personal data you have actively provided to us through correspondence or by phone, such as participation in an activity or a question to the ESNL team.
ESNL may also process other sensitive data that may be part of legal records, which ESNL processes as part of its legal services.
Why do we need data?
ESNL processes personal data in order to provide you with the best possible service. Examples include:
- Participation matters;
- Sending our newsletter and/or invitations;
- Use of services provided by ESNL.
How long do we keep personal data?
ESNL does not retain personal data longer than is strictly necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it is collected.
Personal information in legal files is retained by ESNL for 7 years. For certain liability files, the time limit is 20 years.
Sharing with others
ESNL will not provide (personal) data provided by you to other parties unless necessary in the performance of an agreement, to comply with a legal obligation, or based on your consent.
What data is collected on our website and what happens to your data?
The information provided by you
When you sign up for one of the services offered on energystoragenl.nl you enter your personal data, such as name, address, phone number and e-mail address. ESNL collects this data and stores the data in a data file. The data in the data file is therefore only provided by you to ESNL.
Newsletters
When you subscribe to an ESNL newsletter through this website, you will receive a message to reconfirm your subscription. Upon receipt of your reconfirmation, we will send you the newsletter periodically until you unsubscribe. We will retain your personal information and preferences solely for the purpose of sending the newsletters.
Unsubscribe
There is a link at the bottom of each newsletter to unsubscribe from the newsletter.
Cookies
The website www.energystoragenl.nl places cookies. Cookies are small text files placed by an Internet page on a PC, tablet or cell phone. These cookies are used to make the website function better and to monitor website traffic. This allows ESNL to track how many people have visited the website in a given period. ESNL cannot trace this data back to a PC or individual.
Why cookies?
Web pages have no memory. A visitor surfing from page to page within a Web site is seen by the Web server as a new visitor each time. Cookies allow a website to continue to recognize your browser.
On what legal grounds do we use your data?
ESNL uses personal data for the purposes described above and processes your personal data only if you have given your consent, it is necessary for the performance of the (participation) agreement, because you and we have an interest that outweighs the use of your data, or because it is required by law.
What rights do you have?
ESNL believes it is important that you can properly exercise the rights you have under the law. Therefore, it is very easy to contact us by sending an email to info@energystoragenl.nl. ESNL will respond to your request as soon as possible, but at the latest within four weeks.
