Energy Cooperative Endona, together with Enexis, may be one of the first to experiment with a local energy market. The field of work is the Grid Flex in Heeten. This consists of 160 solar panel installations as well as a local solar park. With 7 consortium partners an optimal local energy system is being realized here by means of price mechanisms, incentives and energy flexibility.

In Heeten the local is encouraged to generate, consume and store energy. Therefore, the supply and demand of electricity is made transparent to everyone. If energy is traded locally, cash flows remain in the region and local sustainable generation is encouraged. In Heeten, 25 homes are equipped with a sea salt battery from Dr. Ten.
