New Life is a family business where they have three generations growing up and living together. In 2017 they took the step to build the group accommodation completely new. Sustainability, service, care orientation, personal approach, fitting on Texel, tranquility, space, nature, luxury, quality and professionalism are central to this.

To provide its own electrical energy, New Life has solar panels, a battery storage system and a pallet stove.

Bringing these developments together and aligning the various systems with each other resulted in a concept, where off-grid operation of such a plan is technically feasible. As such, New Life is an example at home and abroad. The Texel-based installation company IBS - Oele - Schoo handled the total installation and installed all the facilities.

To realize the storage of electrical energy from the solar panels in batteries, IBS contacted Indutecc.

In New Life are high-end Solarwatt glass/glass solar panels combined with the most durable and safe batteries from Nilar. The whole thing is regulated by the Lovato energy management system. A great project where all our competencies come together to achieve sustainable energy management.

The solar panels provide the accommodation with energy during the day and at the same time the Nilar batteries charged. In the evening and at night, the batteries provide energy for the accommodation. During the winter months, when solar energy is insufficient, a pallet stove provides not only hot water and heating but also electrical energy. The combination allows this system to provide as much of its own energy as possible throughout the year.
