Smart Trolley Grid

On May 24, the first "Smart Trolley Grid charging station" for electric cars was opened in Arnhem. This is a very special charging station, as it is powered by energy from the trolley overhead line and braking energy from the trolley buses. A unique innovation in Europe!The deputy Jan Jacob van Dijk of Gelderland and Alderman Geert Ritsema of Arnhem officially inaugurated the charging station by connecting an electric car to the charging station to charge it. The charging station is located at the new Schuytgraaf shopping center in Arnhem. The network of smart trolley grid charging stations will be expanded in the coming years with new stations in Arnhem and Oosterbeek.
